Guided Discovery Lab
Attending previous sessions is not a prerequisite. Register to join in any time. It's free.
Our first Lab began with an exporation of Dynamic Range, including how to determine our own camera's dynamic range. The second session began with a summary of that topic before moving on to testing if your camera and lenses focus as you expect them to. We then took focus a step further (finding the sweet spot for your lens(es). And, the last lab continued with additional focus testing. . . through depth of focus.
The next session we start to explore your cameras relationship with color.
What is a guided discovery lab? Teaching does not equate to learning; but, learning that is based upon personal discovery, on the other hand, can become a more profound experience, especially when the learner applies and also shares their own unique knowledge, experience and objectives with others. . . to come up with an ah-ha moment. But that ah-ha moment, is, and should be, different for every person; it helps define fundamental principles which you then use as you wish.
Our process will be based upon scenarios, problems, inquiries, and testing.
Please bring any type of digital camera with a lens that your regularly use with it. Bring your manual if you don't fully understand your camera's settings.
