For those who are uncomfortable using computers the Camera Guild has created a Basic Computer Class. The topics covered will be as follows:
- Turning on, putting to sleep, and turning off computers
- Navigating through the computer using a mouse
- Different menus utilizing left/right clicks of the mouse
- Locating existing files
- Creating, naming, and moving new files
- Loading/Downloading media from flash drives and SSD cards
- Creating shortcuts for your desktop
- Locating and opening applications
- System Preferences
- Dos and Don’ts with Camera Guild Computers
- Other topics based on class requests
- Utilizing the photo editing application that comes with you computer (if time permits)
These basic topics should provide you a level of comfort when using your computer. Please bring a flash drive or SSD card to class. You will download and upload items as practice.
There are two sessions of this class both on Mondays from 1-3 p.m. The cost is $7 for the class. Size limited to 6 seats.
