Basic Photography

Are you new to Photography..... Well....

In this class we will go over how your camera makes an image. (homework will be reviewed on 11/12/24)

We will explore exposure and the different "MODES" you have at hand on your camera to get a "GOOD" exposure.

Also we will talk about improving your photo from snapshot to a planned image that tells your story!

Info that you will learn:

• exposure
• modes on your camera that control exposure, how do they differ
• concepts from motion to depth of field
• composition.... what makes a better photo

What you should know about your camera before taking:

• Setting the Program dial…
• Setting the Focus mode / Exposure mode…
• Setting the ISO…
• Where to set Bracketing
• Where to find EV compensation ( +/- )
• How to view your images
• How to view your Histogram

A workshop, one hour before class, is offered to help you learn where these settings are on your camera.

     To sign up for a class or classes, log into cameraguildsuncity.com select the class(es) and then select “I will attend”.  If your plans change, sign into the website, select the class and then “I will not attend” so the space will be available to others.
