The speaker for this Roundup is Tom Till which will speak on Fifty Years as a Landscape Photography: What I Learned/What I Know.
"Tom Till has been a professional landscape photographer for almost 50 years. His work has appeared in hundreds of thousands of publications, including US postal stamps, and 34 books with him as sole photographer. He has shot in over 140 countries and territories on all continents, and has been a contract photographer for the U.S. State Department for 25 years, including a touring exhibit of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. He has been the recipient of many awards, including the Utah Governor’s Art Award, the Ben Franklin book award, and a special award from the Nature Conservancy.
His work has been used in many environmental campaigns in Utah, the Southwest, and nationally, including the successful fights to keep nuclear waste out of Canyonlands National Park, the designation of Grand Staircase/Escalante National Monument, and the removal of a hazardous uranium tailings pond outside of his home of Moab.
The Tom Till Gallery is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and Tom Till Tours offers photo tours in the vicinity of his home, Moab, Utah. He is married to Nancy Anderson, and has two adult children and three grandchildren.
Tom has been inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."
